The Life of Coco story...

Elena and Joe, founders of Life of Coco, are beach bums and sun chasers from the stunning Mornington Peninsula. Their love for the beach was so strong that Joe quit his 9-to-5 job to make “working from the beach” a reality and bring their dream of Life of Coco to life. Spending endless days snorkelling with dolphins and scuba diving, they knew they needed a towel that could keep up with their lifestyle. Joe, always in the water, wanted a towel where his head or feet wouldn’t end up in the sand. He also needed a secure place to store his valuables while swimming, which led to the addition of a zipper pocket for peace of mind. The towel had to be compact and lightweight—perfect for their love of travel.

Elena, tired of plain, uninspiring towels, teamed up with her talented cousin Chloe, a tattoo artist from the Mornington Peninsula, to hand-draw unique and vibrant designs. Each towel reflects their favourite holiday destinations, like the amazing islands of the Philippines, the beautiful coastlines of Australia, the Great Barrier Reef, and the scuba-diver’s paradise of Koh Tao.

Elena was also frustrated by foggy sunglasses from sunscreen smudges, so they introduced a world-first feature: a sunglass cleaner strip hidden inside the zipper pocket. This simple yet brilliant idea solved the age-old problem of keeping lenses clean after a day in the sun.

Life of Coco is more than just a towel—it's about living the life of a coconut, embracing the sun, sand, and sea with style and ease. Every feature, from the hand-drawn designs to the innovative sunglass cleaner, reflects their passion for beach life, travel, and the beauty of the ocean.
